Each year, the Penn FTD Center hosts an educational conference aimed at the continuum of needs experienced by caregivers of persons with Frontotemporal spectrum disorders. Experts in the field of Frontotemporal degeneration review disease symptoms, discuss neurobiological advances in understanding these conditions, and present advances in drug discovery; individual management of patient needs from the nursing, social work, and physical/occupational therapy perspectives; as well as legal and financial planning and other caregiver support services. Break-out groups provide the opportunity for interactive discussion and meals and information tables by partner organizations such as the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Cure PSP, the Alzheimer’s Association and the ALS Association allow for informal networking. We are pleased to offer free attendance at these conferences. Sessions from past conferences may be viewed here.
